I have had the strangest day.
Basically, me, Matt and Milly went to Westminster to see the boat parade thingy (even though I hate the Royal family, I really needed to get out), but there was nowhere on the Thames you could see anything from and it was cold so we got bored. Because everywhere was packed, we took a diversion to avoid the crowds on the way back to Kensington, but then we ended up seeing a street party. There was a band at the end so we couldn’t really see what was going on. Someone invited us to join in and get food etc. so we did, and like everyone was Asian there and we wondered if we were missing something. We really stood out. That’s when I saw the sign on the outside of the building saying “Emmanuel Evangelical Church” so we were like okay, blend in, look casual. We sat down, ended up being 2 seats from the pastor and Milly & Matt lied & said they believed in God. I told the truth that I was atheist and he started talking about God, and light and darkness. He was really nice though, a really clever guy, he came from Malaysia in the 70’s to study electrical engineering, converted from Buddhism to Christianity and 5 years ago, gave up his job to become a pastor.
Literally SUCH an insane day.
